Effects of sympathetic nerve stimulation in Finkleman Preparation

Description

A series of traces showing the effects of stimulating sympathetic nerves at different stimulation frequencies on contractions of rabbit small intestine. The effects of several drugs (Guanethidine, Local anaesthetic, Tetrodotoxin, Reserpine, Atropine, Hexamethonium, Propranolol, and Phentolamine) are also shown against a background of nerve stimulation at a frequency which produces an optimal response.
