Action of adrenergic drugs on the Finkleman preparation

Description

Effects of 4 adrenergic drugs (Noradrenaline, Isoprenaline, Phenylephrine, and Tyramine) on contractions of the isolated duodenal preparation (Finkleman). Traces are available for  different doses of noradrenaline and single doses of the other agonists. All can be administered either alone or in combination with an a-receptor blocker (phentolamine), a B-receptor blocker (propranolol), guanethidine or imipramine. Flash animation
